How the estimate works
Fill in the form and press Get my estimate. We send only the car's details to our valuation service: the make, model, year, mileage, fuel, gearbox, condition and the city. We don't ask for your name, phone number or e-mail address.
The estimate comes from two sources:
- An AI estimate, made with Anthropic's Claude, for the used-car market in Albania and Kosovo. It is told to be conservative and to price the car as it would sell between private people or at a well-attended online auction, not at a dealer's asking price.
- Similar cars on Going Once Cars: the same make and model, up to two years older or newer, sold or bid on in the last 24 months, adjusted for age and mileage. When there are at least three, they count in the result, and the more there are, the more they count. At launch we have few sales of our own, so the AI part counts more for now.
You get a range (from a quick sale to a strong result), the most likely price, how confident the estimate is, and a suggested starting price and minimum price if you decide to sell at auction.
It is always an estimate, not an offer and not a guarantee. Nobody has seen your car: the final price depends on its real condition and on the bids.
What changes a car's price
The same model can be worth very different amounts. These are the things that move the price the most:
- Year and mileage. About 10,000 to 15,000 km a year is normal. Clearly more lowers the price; very low mileage helps only if the service history backs it up.
- Condition and damage. "Good" means normal wear for the car's age. Visible faults or repairs that are due lower the price, roughly by what the work would cost.
- Make and model. Popular models sell quickly to many buyers. Rare, very powerful or luxury cars have fewer buyers, and their price is harder to predict.
- Fuel and gearbox. In Albania diesel cars are in demand, and an automatic gearbox usually adds value.
- History and documents. A stamped service book, receipts for recent work and complete papers make buyers more confident.

From the estimate to the sale
If the range looks right, you can sell the car at auction on Going Once Cars:
- List it for free, from your phone, in about 10 minutes. The estimate's suggestions help you choose a starting price and a hidden minimum price.
- Verified buyers bid for 1 to 7 days. If you prefer, add a Buy Now price or sell at a fixed price.
- The buyer pays Going Once Cars, never you directly. At the handover the buyer gives you a 6-character code, you enter it in the app, and we pay you 1–2 business days later.
Listing is free. You pay a €50 success fee only if the car sells. Launch offer: the first 30 cars sold on the platform pay no success fee, while places last.

Why the estimate can be lower than adverts
Prices in classified adverts are asking prices: what sellers hope to get before negotiating. Many cars sell for less, or stay unsold for weeks. The estimate aims at the price a car realistically sells for, so it is often below the prices you see in adverts. That is normal, and it is a useful starting point for a sale that doesn't drag on.
Frequently asked questions
Is the valuation really free?
Yes. It is free and you don't need an account. To keep the service available for everyone, the number of new estimates per visitor each day is limited; asking again for the same car doesn't count.
Is this an offer to buy my car?
No. Going Once Cars doesn't buy cars. The estimate shows what a car like yours is likely to sell for. At auction, the price is set by the bids of verified buyers.
How accurate is the estimate?
It depends on the car. For common models with typical mileage the range is usually narrower and the confidence higher. For rare cars, very high mileage or heavy damage the confidence is low and the range wider. The result always shows how confident it is.
What do you do with the details I enter?
We use only the car's details to work out the estimate, and we keep the result for 7 days so the same car gets the same answer. We don't ask who you are. To limit misuse we count requests per visitor with a code that changes every day, and we don't store your IP address.
Does it work for cars in Kosovo?
Yes. Choose a city in Kosovo in the form. The estimate then refers to the Kosovo market.
Can I sell the car on Going Once Cars after the estimate?
Yes. Press Sell it at auction for free, create your account and list the car from your phone. Listing is free and the €50 success fee is paid only if the car sells.
